The devastating floods and landslides in Nepal are, above all, a profound human tragedy. Families have lost loved ones, survivors face an uncertain future, and entire communities have seen homes, livelihoods and essential infrastructure severely affected.
At this moment, our thoughts are with the people of Nepal—and with the rescue teams, volunteers, medical workers, engineers and local communities working tirelessly through extraordinarily difficult conditions.
As the journey moves from emergency response to rehabilitation, rebuilding must mean more than replacing what has been lost.
